Sister Ludovena leads Nyabondo Centre with quiet determination and a heart full of compassion. Every morning she walks the wards, not as an administrator but as a sister to those who suffer. She knows most of the children by name, remembers their surgeries, and celebrates their small victories. Under her leadership, the Centre has expanded outreach programmes and strengthened partnerships, yet she remains deeply grounded in the sisters' original mission: to restore dignity to every person with a disability. Ponplaus Agoro serves as the Programmes Manager at Nyabondo Centre for Persons with Disabilities, where he provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization's disability inclusion, rehabilitation, health, education, and community development programmes. With over a decade of experience in project management, programme coordination, partnership development, and donor-funded initiatives, Ponplaus plays a pivotal role in translating organizational vision into impactful interventions that improve the lives of persons with disabilities. He coordinates programme planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and resource mobilization, ensuring that projects are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with donor requirements. Ponplaus currently leads the implementation of the SHINE Project (2026–2029) in partnership with County Governments of Homa-Bay and Kisumu, supported by CBM Kenya, and the Building Effective Networks Multi-Annual Programme Plan (BEN MAPP II) in Kisumu County, supported by Cheshire Disability Services Kenya. Through his leadership, these programmes are strengthening rehabilitation services, disability inclusion, inclusive education, community empowerment, and access to essential services for persons with disabilities. Known for his meticulous planning, strong organizational skills, and collaborative leadership style, Ponplaus has successfully coordinated multi-stakeholder initiatives involving government agencies, development partners, organizations of persons with disabilities, faith-based institutions, and community structures. His commitment to accountability, innovation, and results-driven programming has contributed significantly to the growth and impact of Nyabondo Centre's programmes.
