Community Awareness & Sensitisation
Door‑to‑door campaigns, community barazas, radio shows, and school programmes to break stigma and promote disability inclusion.
Breaking down barriers – from stigma and isolation to legal rights and government benefits. We ensure persons with disabilities are seen, heard, and included.
Disability is not just a health issue – it is a social and human rights issue. Many persons with disabilities in Kenya face stigma, exclusion from community activities, barriers to education and employment, and limited access to government programmes.
Nyabondo’s Social Inclusion and Protection programme tackles these barriers head‑on. We raise awareness, build support networks, advocate for rights, and link individuals to critical social protection services – from disability registration to cash transfers and health insurance.
Our activities span awareness, group formation, advocacy, and direct linkages to government benefits.

“Before our support group, I felt ashamed of my child’s disability. Now we meet every month – we share problems, learn from each other, and even started a savings group. Three of our members have started small businesses. The group gave me back my hope.”— Grace, caregiver and support group leader, Homa Bay
