What We Aim to Achieve
Nyabondo Centre works towards clear, measurable objectives that ensure every person with a disability receives holistic care, empowerment, and a path to independence.
- To conduct early identifications and early interventions, sensitization to the community on disability inclusion and access to rehabilitation services.
- To create awareness on causes, prevention and management of various disabilities with the aim of reducing disability prevalence and overcoming prejudices and traditional beliefs towards Persons with Disabilities.
- To promote quality rehabilitation services through medical/social rehabilitation and economic empowerment.
- To develop and provide low cost but quality and appropriate assistive devices through appropriate technology to meet the needs of Persons with Disabilities in the rural community.
- To partner with County Governments, National Governments, development partners and community structures to effectively co-ordinate activities targeting Persons with Disabilities.
- To promote and support formation of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities to increase their self-confidence to achieve full participation in their communities and attain equal rights.
