Transforming Lives
Through Holistic Programmes

Beyond clinical care, Nyabondo runs structured programmes that address health, social inclusion, economic empowerment, and systems strengthening. Each cluster is designed to create lasting change for persons with disabilities and their communities.

What We Do

SHINE Project (2026–2029)

Strengthening capacities for Holistic and Inclusive Need‑based rehabilitative services that Empower individuals and communities

Supported by Christian Blind Mission, the SHINE Project operates across Kisumu and Homa Bay Counties. It uses a twin‑track approach: empowering individuals with functional limitations through improved access to orthopaedic surgeries, assistive products, rehabilitation and social protection; and strengthening healthcare systems, county governments and communities to create lasting inclusive change.

Key gaps addressed:
  • Limited availability of quality rehabilitative services and assistive technology in communities and primary/secondary facilities.
  • Insufficient skilled rehabilitation personnel (physiotherapists, occupational therapists, technicians).
  • Fragmented production and provision of assistive products.
